Account & Billing

Your first claim in ClaimOps is free, with no credit card required. This article explains how that works, what happens when you're ready to use ClaimOps on your full caseload, and how to manage your account and billing settings.

Your free first claim

When you sign up, you can create and work one claim completely free. That means uploading estimates, running the comparison, strengthening line items, generating the PDF package, and sending it — the whole workflow, on a real claim, at no cost.

Review both estimates, the comparison and the finished package before sending it. Email verification is required for direct carrier email, even on the free claim.

A claim uses the free allowance once it reaches comparison. A draft or an estimate that is still being read does not use it. After your first claim has been compared, creating another claim requires a subscription. You can keep working your free claim, including later response rounds, while your account remains on the free plan.

After your free claim: subscribing

When the free allowance has been used, the new-claim flow will prompt you to subscribe. Verify your account email first, then review the price and billing terms at Stripe's secure checkout. Return to ClaimOps after checkout to check your subscription status.

Check your billing status after checkout. Activation depends on payment confirmation reaching ClaimOps. If your account still shows the free plan, give it a moment and refresh Settings → Billing. Avoid starting another checkout or paying again to fix a delayed update; contact support if it persists.

A note on pricing

Available plan pricing is shown on the Pricing page and again at checkout before you subscribe. Check Settings → Billing and your invoice for your own subscription. If you have a question about pricing, email contact@claimops.io before subscribing and we'll make sure you have the right information.

Managing your billing

Open Settings → Billing on either the free or subscribed plan. If your account has a billing profile, use Manage Billingto open Stripe's secure customer portal:

Billing is handled by Stripe — ClaimOps never stores your card number. If you need help accessing the portal or have a billing dispute, contact us at contact@claimops.io . We aim to respond within 24 hours, typically evenings.

Cancellation, payment issues and read-only access

A canceled subscription, or an unresolved payment issue after the payment grace period, can make the workspace read-only. You can view existing claim records, but edits and new work may require an active subscription. Follow the billing notice in the app; this is a different rule from the free first-claim allowance.

You can cancel through account billing settings. Cancellation does not promise a refund for an unused period: fees are prepaid and non-refundable except where required by law, as described in the Terms of Service. Contact support if a charge looks wrong.
