Account & Billing
Your first claim in ClaimOps is on us — no credit card, no trial period, no catch. This article explains how that works, what happens when you're ready to use ClaimOps on your full caseload, and how to manage your account and billing settings.
Your free first claim
When you sign up, you can create and work one claim completely free. That means uploading estimates, running the comparison, strengthening line items, generating the PDF package, and sending it — the whole workflow, on a real claim, at no cost.
The idea is simple: use it on a real claim before you decide whether it's worth paying for. Most contractors know by the time they generate the first package.
The free claim covers the full workflow. The only thing that's gated is creating additional claims — you can keep working an existing claim (adding rounds, uploading new carrier responses, regenerating packages) without a paid plan.
After your free claim: subscribing
When you go to create a second claim, ClaimOps will prompt you to subscribe. You'll be taken to a secure checkout — just your email and card number — and once you subscribe, you're back in the app to keep going.
Important: subscribing unlocks new claim creation. If you already have a claim in progress (even on the free tier), you can always go back to it, keep strengthening, regenerate the package, and manage carrier responses — a subscription is only required to create new claims beyond the first.
A note on pricing
Your current subscription price is shown on the Pricing page and again at checkout before you subscribe. Early customers may see a founding customer rate while that offer is available. If you have a question about pricing, email contact@claimops.io before subscribing and we'll make sure you have the right information.
Managing your billing
Once you're subscribed, go to Settings → Billing to:
- View your current plan and billing period.
- Update your payment method.
- See past invoices (via Stripe's secure customer portal).
Billing is handled by Stripe — ClaimOps never stores your card number. If you need to cancel or have a billing dispute, contact us directly at contact@claimops.io and we'll get back to you within 24 hours.
What to check before moving on
- If you're on the free tier, you've used your first claim to run a real supplement — not just clicked through the empty state.
- If you subscribed, confirm that your card charged correctly and you can now create additional claims from the Claims dashboard.
- Your billing email (the one used at checkout) is one you check regularly — that's where Stripe receipts will go.
Common issues
- “I can't create a new claim.” You've hit the free-claim limit. Go to the Claims dashboard — you'll see a prompt to subscribe. Once you complete checkout, you'll be able to create claims immediately.
- “I subscribed but the checkout page is still showing up.” Try a hard refresh (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows) and log out/back in. If that doesn't fix it, email us — we'll check your account manually.
- “I don't see Settings → Billing.” Billing settings appear once you've gone through checkout. If you're still on the free tier, you won't see the billing tab until after subscribing.
- “I need to cancel.” Email contact@claimops.io — we'll take care of it within 24 hours and make sure you're not charged for a period you don't use.
Where to get help
